Jan Matiz (born Marius Mathiszik) is an experimental musician, composer and very occasional short-film maker currently based in Athens, Greece. Next to his ongoing projects Jan Matiz (solo), I work in communications and Erdfisch he is a member of the band Rave at your fictional borders and a regular guest in Agile Experiments live shows (both involving Italo-British producer, drummer and bass player Dave De Rose).
Marius recent work includes collaboration and publishing with acclaimed musicians such as George Crowley (Melt Yourself Down), Dan Nicholls, Jon Scott (GoGo Penguin), Mitsogusto, Saber Rider and Jan Van.
While his newest releases Kiss my emoji ring (IWIC) and II (Jan Matiz) have received warm acclaim by the independent music press, Marius unique view on contemporary music may be followed as well via his bimonthly podcast Echei Kinisi on Athens station Fade Radio.
